Solar installation costs depend on system size and type. A typical 3 kW residential system in Maharashtra costs approximately ₹1.5–2 lakh before subsidy. PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana is a Central Government scheme providing subsidy up to ₹78,000 for residential rooftop solar installation. It also provides up to 300 units of free electricity per month through net metering. Suryakiran Enertech handles all application and documentation on your behalf.
A 1 kW solar system in Maharashtra typically generates 4–5 units (kWh) per day, or about 120–150 units per month. A 3 kW system produces 360–450 units/month, which is sufficient for most medium-sized homes. Actual output depends on location, panel orientation and shadow-free rooftop area.
Net metering allows you to export excess solar electricity to the MSEDCL grid and earn credits on your electricity bill. When your panels produce more than you consume — typically during daytime — the surplus is sold to the grid. At night, you draw from the grid and offset it with credits earned. This effectively reduces your bill to near zero.
For a residential system (1–5 kW), physical installation typically takes 1–2 days after all materials arrive.
